Podere Marcampo

Ours is an organic farm with an adjoining agriturismo that currently boasts 5 hectares of vineyards planted between 2004 and 2017. We are located on the northern slope of Volterra, beneath the Balze, overlooking the sea and Pisa. We were the first to venture into a new winemaking area, where a tradition had already existed since the Etruscans. Current production is 25,000 bottles. Genuino Del Duca, the company's founder, with his first harvest in 2007, could be considered a pioneer of viticulture in Volterra. Officially the second generation, Claudia Del Duca carries on her father Genuino's legacy with passion and dedication.
Due to the ancient presence of the sea throughout the area, the vines grow on clay soil rich in salts and minerals, above salt deposits and close to the salt pans. This is what sets us apart and makes our wines so minerally. The vines are cultivated with total respect for nature.
In the cellar, we maintain respect for the characteristics of our wines, striving to make them the perfect expression of our terroir.
The company is entirely family-run, from vineyard work to bottling, promotion, and sales.
The company currently produces seven labels from Vermentino, Sangiovese, Merlot, Ciliegiolo, and Pugnitello grapes.
