Carpineta Fontalpino is a winery owned by the Cresti family. Traces of the winemaking tradition of the company territory can already be found at the end of the nineteenth century, but it was in 1967 that Italo, father of Filippo and Gioia, decided to believe in his vocation and to make it a company, with love and devotion.

Meet the team

Gioia Cresti was born on 20 October 1968 in Siena to Italo and Silveria Cresti: last of three brothers, lively and cheerful since she was a child, she loves nature and animals. Italo Cresti bought Carpineta Fontalpino in 1967: a company where animals are raised and wine is produced for the family. Unfortunately only 4 years later Italo dies, but leaves Carpineta Fontalpino as a legacy to his children. The Cresti brothers grow up and Gioia feels the desire to study oenology.
