Magnum-Carlos Lucas Vinhos was founded in 2011 in Carregal do Sal and is intrinsically linked to the producer and winemaker who gives it its name and to Quinta do Ribeiro Santo, where its headquarters and winemaking facilities are located.

The company is the materialization of the dream and personal ambition of Carlos Lucas, a man of the vineyard and wine with a highly renowned career in the sector, particularly in the Dão region where, since the early 1990s, he has made an important contribution to the development of structuring projects for the region.

Meet the team

Carlos Lucas was born in Coimbra, but has always been connected to the Dão region. A man of the land, a modern farmer, he has over 25 years of experience in winemaking: Montpellier, Piedmont, Priorat, and the San Francisco Valley are some of the places where he has left his mark. He was one of the driving forces behind the modern Dão. In 2008, his work was recognized when he was named "Winemaker of the Year" by Revista dos Vinhos (Wine Magazine). Carlos Lucas keeps his nose on the wines and his hands in the vineyard, shaping the profile of his wines.
