About the winery

On the volcanic slopes of the north coast of Terceira Island, Dimas Adega was born from a passion for authentic wines and the unique richness of the basalt soils of Biscoitos. Founded by Dimas Pires, with deep roots in the Azores archipelago, the winery began over two decades ago with the dream of capturing the Atlantic and mineral character of local wines. Innovation and boldness are part of our DNA: we imported European grape varieties, such as Caladoc and Seyval Blanc, and continue to produce the emblematic Verdelho from the Azores in soils that breathe sea and history. At the same time, we develop artisanal liqueurs that combine traditional recipes with contemporary flavors, creating unique experiences. Today, we invite visitors from around the world to discover not only the wine, but also a unique landscape, where each toast reflects the strength of the Atlantic winds and human craftsmanship.
