In Torres Vedras, in western Portugal, an enterprising family with a strong passion for their homeland realized their long-held dream of building a winery that celebrated the region's historical heritage, deeply rooted in the culture of vines and wine.

North of Lisbon and just a stone's throw from the ocean coast, AdegaMãe leverages a terroir heavily influenced by the prevailing sea breezes, distinguished by its Atlantic-inspired wines, full of character, freshness, and minerality, which have won national and international awards.

Meet the team

Diogo Lopes, Winemaker Born in Lisbon in 1978. An experimentalist, he shares with his great mentor, Anselmo Mendes, the conviction that wines should be a genuine expression of the region where they originate. At AdegaMãe, in 2010, he began experimenting with major national and international grape varieties, seeking those that best thrive in the cool, Atlantic climate of the Lisbon region.
