Luís Vieira, owner of Quinta do Gradil, learned all the secrets of the wine business from his grandfather, António Gomes Vieira, known as Ganita, but it was alone that he embraced the dream of having a property to produce quality wines. And in 1999 he acquired Quinta do Gradil and invested in the total rehabilitation of the vineyards and the cellar, with the aim of building a reference wine brand. Later he invested in wine tourism, as he saw the Quinta as the ideal place to receive, not only.

We had a great time visiting the vineyard as a family of 4. The tour was really interesting with a really friendly guide, and then our private picnic under a tree beat our expectations in every way - so much delicious food, and of course the wines.
