Vieira de Sousa is a family-run winery with five generations dedicated to producing Port wine. This tasting will give you the opportunity to learn about the family's heritage and history, all while enjoying a privileged view of the Douro vineyards. In 2011, Vieira de Sousa began producing DOC Douro wines, building its own winery, thus expanding its wine offering.
The Premium Douro & Port Tasting offers a comprehensive journey through the diversity and evolution of the house's wines, from Douro whites and reds to more aged Ports.

About the host

The “new”/”old” space is dedicated to our customers, with Douro and Porto wine tastings and guided tours.

This one began with the rehabilitation of a century-old winery, now restored and visitable, where you can find old stone wine presses and traditional Douro barrels.

If you don't already know us, Vieira de Sousa is a family company producing Port and Douro wines, now in its 5th generation. All of our wines are produced with grapes from family estates that occupy almost 60 hectares in the Douro Valley. The Quintas are located along the Douro River, which allows us to produce different wines from year to year, maintaining quality.

In 2021 we were distinguished by Revista de Vinhos with the Fortified Wines Producer of the Year Award.
