The Premium Douro Tasting is an experience designed for those seeking to discover the wines and traditions of our Quinta. Located near Régua, at the mouth of the Corgo River, Quinta da Firveda preserves the history of Port wine production, with an old cellar where you can still visit the traditional wine presses and barrel cellar. The visit includes a stroll through the vineyards and concludes with a tasting of four carefully selected DOC Douro wines: Alice Douro White, Vieira de Sousa Unoaked, Vieira de Sousa Reserva Red, and Vieira de Sousa Grande Reserva.

The tasting takes place in the tasting room or, whenever possible, on the balcony overlooking the old vineyards and the Corgo River. It's an experience that reflects the character of our family, our history, and the Douro.

About the host

The “new”/”old” space is dedicated to our customers, with Douro and Porto wine tastings and guided tours.

This one began with the rehabilitation of a century-old winery, now restored and visitable, where you can find old stone wine presses and traditional Douro barrels.

If you don't already know us, Vieira de Sousa is a family company producing Port and Douro wines, now in its 5th generation. All of our wines are produced with grapes from family estates that occupy almost 60 hectares in the Douro Valley. The Quintas are located along the Douro River, which allows us to produce different wines from year to year, maintaining quality.

In 2021 we were distinguished by Revista de Vinhos with the Fortified Wines Producer of the Year Award.
