Visit the family cellar with century-old tuns dating from 1850 and tasting of the house's wines.

Maison ZEYSSOLFF is one of the rare cellars in Alsace with around twenty century-old oak tuns still used for the vinification of its wines.

Following the organic conversion of my estate, we renovated our cellar and are taking advantage of this setting to offer our visitors a new activity. You will discover a film on our rich personal history and our work philosophy. All projected in the cellar, on barrels at 180°, allowing the public to find themselves totally immersed in our history.

You will end the tasting in our new 100% immersive tasting area with a wine to accompany each dish (soup, pie, cheese plate, dessert and coffee/tea). Lounge music and images projected on the wall will transport you during a meal into OUR universe, where wines and tourism intermingle...

About the host

My husband Yvan and I operate a family winery, created in 1778 in Gertwiller, Alsace, a few kilometers from Strasbourg. We are the 11th generation of winegrowers, of the same family, to exploit our vines and vinify the 7 Alsatian grape varieties. We like to share our passion for wine through our family history, and our cellar secrets, in a friendly and warm atmosphere. The Zeyssolff family cask, made in 1897 for the Universal Exhibition in Paris, is one of our main curiosities. We welcome you to make you discover our cellar through a guided tour and to make you taste the fruit of our work...

A multimedia yet authentic cellar tour with several wine tastings, including the wines served with dinner, allowed us to sample seven different wines. Among them were a few discoveries: Klevener... Very fair price.
