About the winery

Inaugurated in 2007, Adega Mayor is the winemaking project of the Nabeiro Group, where the art of winemaking intersects with that of Siza Vieira. With vineyards currently located in Herdade das Argamassas, Herdade da Godinha, Herdade da Marrada Alta, as well as Monte do Firmino and Monte da Pina, all in Campo Maior, in the Alto Alentejo region, Adega Mayor has immediately become a benchmark in Portuguese wine tourism, being the first signature winery built in Portugal.

Inspired by the empire he built with Delta in 1961, Rui Nabeiro dreamed of a winery, born from his passion for wine and the land where he was born, Campo Maior. It was with his granddaughter, Rita Nabeiro, that he materialized and surpassed this dream.
