About the winery

Château Boucarut is a 20-hectare estate in a single block, located in Roquemaure in the Gard region, fifteen minutes from Avignon. We took it over in 2017, when not a single bottle of wine was being produced: everything had to be built from the ground up. The estate is certified organic, and we practice natural winemaking, using indigenous yeasts and no added additives. We produce AOC Lirac and Tavel wines, as well as Vin de France wines. Tavel is the oldest rosé in France and is a gastronomic wine in its own right. Tours are led by the winemakers themselves, in French, English, Spanish, or Dutch. They take place in a vaulted room in the farmhouse or in the estate's chapel, dating back to 1758, on its original church pews. The estate is a member of the Vignobles & Découvertes network, reviewed by Decanter and La Revue du Vin de France, and featured on RAW WINE.
