Santa Margherita
About the winery
In 1952, in the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the adventure of making Prosecco sparkling wine began, transforming it from a local sparkling wine into a global phenomenon in just a few decades. In 1961, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio made its debut: a new, elegant, and modern wine, born from Count Marzotto's experiment with vinifying 100% pure white grapes from the eponymous grape variety. An icon of Made in Italy, it is today an extremely versatile wine, suitable for pairing with a variety of foods and situations.
The 1980s saw the emergence of new interpretations of Chardonnay, with a youthful, fresh, and fruity style, immediate and enjoyable, and of Müller Thurgau, a sparkling version that marries the aromatics of the grape variety with the jaunty and intriguing formula of bubbles.
