About the winery

In 1962, around fifty winegrowers from the villages of Baroville, Fontaine and Arconville, in the Côte des Bar, decided to join forces and found a wine cooperative to share the pressing activity. The desire to promote the winegrowers' production quickly took root and this is how the Barfontarc brand was born, whose name – a nod to its roots – is composed of the first syllables of the 3 original villages.
