Château Citran is a historic wine estate located near Margaux in the Médoc region. Its emblem is the peacock, visible on its bottle labels and also in the château's vast park where these magnificent birds roam freely.
Since 1996, the Merlaut family, already deeply rooted in the Bordeaux wine world, has managed this splendid estate. Today, Château Citran encompasses 70 hectares of vineyards in the Haut-Médoc appellation, planted with carefully selected grape varieties to thrive in this unique terroir: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
At Château Citran, tradition and modern techniques come together, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, to create elegant, refined, and exceptionally fine wines.
