Experiences from €35.00

In 1963 Angelo Lambertini, mindful of his father Vincenzo's experience, planted the first vines in the town of San Chierlo, on the Colli Bolognesi. In the following years he built the wine cellar and completed the vineyards that today extend over 15 hectares. In 1986 he was succeeded by his son Francesco, driven by the same passion: having renovated the cellar, he created Ospitalità, the strong point of Tenuta Bonzara. Today the company is run by Silvia Lambertini, Francesco's daughter, supported by her siblings Angelo and Lucia. With renewed energy Tenuta Bonzara presents itself to enthusiasts with the awareness of having some great news in store: character and interpretation are the tracks on which this enthusiasm runs. There are eight types of wines produced, among which the Bonzarone stands out, a pure Cabernet Sauvignon that has achieved the Tre Bicchieri del Gambero Rosso three times and a score of 94/100 from the prestigious American magazine Wine Spectator. Careful work in the vineyard and an enology of valorization in the cellar have allowed Tenuta Bonzara to obtain results of great prestige at the national and international level.

Meet the team

La Tenuta Bonzara is born in the name of our nonno Angelo, in 1963 acquired a property of circa 100 ettari nella piccola frazione di San Chierlo (già Sant’Ilario), at the foot of Monte Bonzara. If you realize this, the problem is in a historic area for viticultural and family traditions of agriculture and vitivinicola. During the Second World War, Angelo was dedicated to the family case, and was destroyed under the bombardment, and with his father's impregnable activity, he realized a part of his opera in Casalecchio, and he was always there. In 1963, he succeeded in his attività edile, per Angelo, persona piena di intraprendenza e voglia di fare, i tempi furono maturi per buttarsi en questa new avventura. Individually and acquired by the San Chierlo family of the Conti Garagnani, everything was realized on the flight of my little one: they came for 15 days in the vineyard, built the cantina and completed the restaurant of the antique osteria with the creation of the ristorante La Martinella del Poggio. I first imbottigliamenti ed etichette risalgono al 1967; there was a crescendo of impegno and enthusiasm at the end of the intuition of 1971 born to the birth of Bonzarone, held by the great Luigi Veronelli. In addition to the scholarship of Angelo, our father Francesco accepts his testimony in 1986 and is affiliated with his career as Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna, l'attività di appassionato produttore di vino, semper supportato dalla moglie Chiara, che era a co-titolare dello storico panificio Atti di Bologna. At the end of the day, Francesco directs the management of the wine to the quality of its wine production, completely refining the wine and the winemaking techniques. Proprietary of a recent public view, Francesco has provided a large restaurant program and expansion of the cantina and since 2004 initiated the guest service, mainly focused on his guided visit to the cantina and matrimoni. Oggi alla guide dell'azienda c'è Silvia Lambertini, figlia di Francesco, affiancata dai fratelli Angelo e Lucia. With new energy, you will be happy to present your passion with the consapevolezza di avere in serbo delle belle novità: character and interpretation sound i binari sui quali corre this entusiasmo.
