About the winery

Rovellats is a love story for the land, the people and cava. A family project that is currently managed by the third generation of the family and that since Sant Martí Sarroca (Barcelona) has been evolving from a work philosophy based on quality. Under the 15th century Masía and located 12 meters deep, the Rovellats cellar is unique in the world for its original six-pointed star structure and a central rotunda.

The etymological origin of Rovellats comes from the Latin “robiculu”, reflecting its location in a meander of the Foix River, characterized by its high humidity. This enclave has been the heart of an estate since medieval times, an architectural complex that includes everything from 10th century Romanesque elements to modern innovations.

With a strong commitment to sustainability, the winery is powered by renewable electrical energy, they purify 100% of their water and have all their vineyards certified as organic by the CCPAE. They have even reduced their use of packaging by 35% and the weight of their bottles by 8%, thus minimizing their environmental footprint.
