In 2001 the adventure of Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges began. In the beginning, this young couple did not have vineyards or wine, but a common dream, a personal project to which they dedicated themselves body and soul.
The name Wine & Soul is the consequence of his passion and total dedication to wine. Since the beginning, this company's work has focused on a tireless search for exceptional vineyards in the Pinhão valley, the historical heart of great Port wines, and giving them a voice.
Since its origins, Wine & Soul's philosophy has been based on respect for the family legacy, passed down through the Douro region's long winemaking tradition. But he is not just limited to accepting this noble heritage, he is also committed to enhancing it with his youthful vision.
In a sincere reference to the Douro terroir, it focuses on the production of single vineyards, in which each wine takes on its own identity, a reflection of the vineyard that gave rise to it. Year after year, the intimate knowledge of each plot is deepened and the winemaking process is perfected in detail, reaching a unique level of quality.
Following the ideal that “wine is the result of a combination of various details”, at Wine & Soul every step of its creation receives the greatest attention, from interventions in the vineyard to the quality of the labels.
