About the winery
In 2011, the Barton Sartorius family wrote a new page in the family adventure, that of Château Mauvesin Barton, by relying on bicentenary know-how acquired in the two Châteaux Langea and Léoville Barton. A vat room with 24 temperature-controlled stainless steel vats was built to enhance the property's wines. The barrel cellar has been completely restored respecting Médoc architecture. Fifty meters long, it can accommodate up to 500 oak barrels. A mix of exposed stone and oak wood, the tasting room overlooks the many red-tinted oak barrels. A large bay window allows the visitor to appreciate its uniqueness, warmth and beauty. The species of trees planted when the park was created in 1853 still constitute this timeless place, transporting the visitor to a rural, romantic and relaxing place.
