Begin the experience with a guided walking tour through the montado, the traditional landscape of cork oaks and one of the most characteristic ecosystems of the Alentejo region. Along the way, you will learn more about the cork oak, the cork extraction cycle, and the importance of this activity for the region, also discovering the biodiversity and sustainable management that make this ecosystem so special.

At Cortiçarte, a cork processing factory, you will discover the fascinating process of transforming this raw material, from extracting the cork from the cork oak to creating a wide variety of final products. You will be able to follow the different stages of the process, learn about the techniques used, and understand why Portugal is a world leader in this sector.

After this immersion in the world of cork, the experience continues at the elegant MAINOVA, with a visit, wine tasting, and lunch.
