About the host
The acquisition of Quinta da Torre stemmed from a dream of Anselmo Mendes, who had harvested here since childhood and believed this to be the ideal terroir for Alvarinho wine.
Quinta da Torre is the perfect starting point for an immersive experience in the history of the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, and the idyllic setting to discover the wines produced under the mastery of Anselmo Mendes, the 'Lord of Alvarinho'. Here you will find a nearly 600-year-old house, granaries dating from the 17th century, and ancient olive trees. This is the perfect setting to enjoy a tasting of unique wines, full of identity and authenticity, surrounded by the unmistakable hectares of vineyards that give rise to them.
Book a tasting or stop by our Wine Shop and open a bottle to drink here on the terrace, while enjoying the view over the vineyards and pairing the moment with a selection of regional products.
