During the first three weeks of September, Churchill's reopens its Quinta da Gricha in the heart of the Douro region for a traditional grape harvest experience. The Quinta da Gricha Harvest Experience invites participants to experience the region's winemaking traditions for a day, with foot-treading in its 1852 granite wine presses and a traditional Douro lunch.

On September 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, and 20, we invite you to join our annual Douro harvest team for an authentic and memorable experience.
The Authentic Harvest Experience: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

A unique experience that includes:

Grape treading experience in the ancient granite wine presses dating back to 1852
Traditional lunch in the orange grove courtyard, accompanied by a four-wine pairing (Churchill's Dry White Port, Churchill's Estates Grafite White, Quinta da Gricha Red, Churchill's 10 Year Old Tawny Port)

We were late because we got lost and we were treated with the most lovely staff and beautiful lunch with wine from the region. We had fun stomping the grapes, such a unique experience! We ended with port tasting on a stunning veranda with a view!
