A vertical tasting is a unique way to discover a wine. By tasting different vintages of the same bottle, you can discover the nuances a wine can develop over the years and compare them. A vertical tasting is the best way to appreciate the aging potential of our Carmignano DOCG.

Typically, tastings begin with the youngest wine and work their way up to the oldest. This way, having appreciated the simplicity of the younger vintages, you can better appreciate the complexity of the older vintages.

* During the winter season, the tasting site is located inside the Villa Medicea (1st floor). Go to the side entrance on Via La Lazzera and ring the bell (Villa).

Nestled among the rolling Tuscan hills and the Montalbano vineyards, a timeless jewel is hidden, witness to an ancient and noble history: Tenuta di Artimino. At the center of this generous land, rich in culture and tradition, stands the majestic Villa Medicea “La Ferdinanda“, also known as the Villa dei Cento Camini, a residence of austere elegance and unparalleled charm, created by the architectural genius of Bernardo Buontalenti at the behest of Grand Duke Ferdinando I de’ Medici in 1596.

Positioned on a hill that was already considered sacred in Etruscan times, the villa is a symbol of power and refinement, born as a hunting lodge and transformed into a place of culture, art and leisure for the Medici court.
