In this experience, you will be accompanied on a true sensory and historical journey through the ruins of Numão Castle, exploring the medieval vestiges with little-known stories, local legends, and breathtaking panoramic views. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a smile, a brief introduction to the site, and a small regional surprise to awaken your senses. We begin with a relaxed walk, where I encourage everyone's participation with questions, curiosities, and small interactive challenges, which make the visit light, educational, and fun. With a sublime view from its 677 meters of altitude, Numão Castle leaves no one indifferent. A must-visit, it takes us on an imaginary journey from the Christian reconquest. After the walk, rest and enjoy the picnic with local products that we have chosen with you in mind, and a memorable wine tasting.

About the host
Located between the Castle of Numão and the sublime Douro of Miguel Torga, Quinta da Vineadouro is a centuries-old property with unique characteristics in the Douro Superior region, whose aim is to recover old vineyards and produce premium and exclusive wines. Belonging to the same family for over 250 years and after 7 generations, the current heirs represent two generations associated with the destiny of this estate. Our centuries-old vineyards contribute to unique and highly complex wines. We use sustainable viticulture and produce wines with minimal intervention to recover the ancient aromas and flavors of the region. More than 22 grape varieties are blended in a typical Douro field blend. We have white, claret and red wines available. In addition to the wines, we also have olive oil extracted from olives from the region's valleys. Our philosophy is Wines with Identity and a Sense of Place!
