During this tour, you'll have a unique opportunity to discover the behind-the-scenes of our distillery and how we craft our products. We will also visit the chapel where our spirits are aged in barrels. Finally, we will taste the spirits in our cellar with a cocktail. Reep Parking is recommended as the closest parking.

About the host

The project began a few years ago at a place called Zandberg, or "sand mountain," in downtown Ghent. The building that houses the distillery has a rich history and has served various purposes over time. Under the foundations, the stones of an old Roman road can still be found. In the 13th century, the site was an inn, "Pelicaen," and later, a residence for noble and wealthy families. During Napoleonic times, the influential tax collector Maes lived there. According to legend, Napoleon himself stayed there. At the end of the 19th century, the Sisters of the Child Jesus established a convent there and cared for the visually impaired. After years of renovations, this monument is ready for the centuries to come. In this new chapter, the chapel is now home to a distillery: Dada Chapel. Inspired by Dadaism, the revolutionary art movement that reached its peak in the early 20th century, we aim to push the boundaries of this still very traditional field. What is Dada? Everything is Dada, nothing is Dada! No rules, no constraints.

Dada Chapel is a haven of creativity, where thinking differently is a way of life and crazy experiments are the norm, with the motto: "In Odd we Trust."
