We offer you a moment of happiness with charcuterie, cheese, and a tasting of our 7 cuvées of white, red, rosé wines, or even Melle Bulle, our Crémant which won a gold medal at the 2025 agricultural show. At the winery, you can explore our cellar with all the stages from vine to glass, and if you feel like it, we can take you to taste the cuvées in our vineyard plots with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, accessible on foot or with our vintage 1964 VW van if you choose the unusual option. An original idea to please yourself and your loved ones as a gift or for pleasure. The village of Chignin is magnificent, you will be surprised! About the host
The Girard-Madoux family long owned a wine estate in the commune of Chignin, southeast of Chambéry in Savoie. The estate was sold in 1976.
The vines remained in the family for a few decades, until Jean-Charles Girard-Madoux began training to become a winemaker.
His studies in Beaune and his apprenticeship at Domaine Patrice Rion in Burgundy made him passionate about wine and working in the vineyard.
In 2006, one month after completing his BTS (Higher National Diploma) in viticulture and oenology, Jean-Charles Girard-Madoux purchased the vineyards to recreate the estate. It then consisted of 2.5 hectares of vines planted by his grandparents. Since then, the estate has expanded to 9 hectares, where the Jacquère, Mondeuse, Roussanne, Gamay & Petite Arvine grape varieties grow side by side.
