Immerse yourself in the refined world of Castello Pomino, a jewel nestled in the Tuscan hills, where winemaking tradition meets innovation and hospitality.

The visit begins with a fascinating introduction to the history of the Pomino estate and the oenological heritage of the Frescobaldi family, custodians of these lands for centuries. This will be followed by a tour of the cellars, authentic treasure chests of Pomino cuvées, and a guided walk through the modern production areas and the green landscapes surrounding the villa.

The experience culminates in an exclusive moment in the winery's lounge, entirely dedicated to the art of sparkling wine production according to the Classic Method. You will discover the elegant and refined world of our sparkling wines through a tasting of our Leonia Brut and Leonia Rosé spumantes. All this will be accompanied by a curated selection of tapas and Tuscan cheeses, for a perfect balance between taste and refinement.

About the host

The Castello Pomino estate dates back to 1500, the year the castle of the same name was built, and from the very beginning it has stood out for the excellence of the place where it stands. This is evidenced by the story of 1716, when the Grand Duke Cosimo III de’ Medici identified the four most suitable territories in Tuscany for producing quality wines: in the announcement, considered the precursor of modern DOCs, the Pomino territory is listed alongside Chianti, Carmignano and Val d’Arno di Sopra. In 1873, Pomino wines were awarded at the Universal Exhibition in Vienna, while in 1878 they obtained the Gold Medal at the Paris Expo, the highest international recognition of the time.

The Castello Pomino territory: Brightness and minerality with a touch of feminine elegance. A hidden gem that reveals itself to those who cross the first woods of the Florentine mountains, with vines that climb up to an altitude of 700 meters, surrounded by sequoias, firs and chestnut trees.
