The history of Quinta do Carmo begins in the 17th century, on a property also known as Herdade das Carvalhas. The Quinta was built by King D. João IV for a lady of his court, with the main purpose of producing wine, olive oil, cork and raising cattle.
We invite you to discover a total of 1000 hectares, divided between vineyards, olive groves and cork oak forests. In the winery, with an annual production of around 3.5 million litres, you can discover how the best Alentejo nectars are produced. In the Jardim das Montanhas Mágicas, which was created in 2015, you can enjoy the fusion of contemporary art with the Alentejo montado, using the famous Estremoz marble.
