Live a timeless experience with an immersive visit to the historic quarries of Château Villemaurine, Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion.
These quarries full of history will reveal many secrets about the complexity of the terroirs of Saint-Emilion.
You will then continue with a complete visit of the Château's production tool, renovated in 2010.
To conclude this exceptional tour, head further east and the limestone plateau dominated by Château Sansonnet, Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion.
You will appreciate the history and depth of the estate's wines

About the host

Château Sansonnet, a renewal!
Ideally located a few steps from the medieval city, Château Sansonnet dominates the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, an exceptional terroir. The vineyard extends over 7 hectares, in one piece, around the Château.
The operating buildings were completely renovated in 2023. Our wines are now vinified in a new vat room, equipped with cutting-edge technology and designed to encourage single-plot work. Aging in barrels, tuns and amphoras continues in the fully restored cellars.
To meet the expectations and curiosity of each visitor, we have imagined two different workshops.
