About the host

Our Douro Valley tours depart from Porto, a city with a rich wine history, which was once the centre of the Port wine trade. Founded in 2012 by locals who are proud of their region and its wines, Cooltour Oporto was born out of a desire to share the secrets of the Douro Valley and to offer all visitors a true experience of the charms of this region. To ensure a personalised experience, our tours are conducted in modern minivans, with a maximum of 8 people, allowing for special attention to each client. But what makes this experience truly special? In addition to an intimate journey guided by passionate experts, it’s not just about the wines; it’s also the terraced vineyards, the landscapes, the tastings and visits to family-run farms, and the peaceful boat trips along the Douro River that make each tour a personal journey through the best-kept corners of Portugal.
