Nestled at the foot of the Black Mountain, this ancient Roman villa founded in 250, opens its doors to you for a taste of history and an immersion in nature.

This family estate located in the heart of Minervois, and straddling the lands of the La Livinère appellation, welcomes you with visits to the plots and 18th century buildings, combined with tastings of the estate's vintages.
Crowned best wine in the world in 2005, supplier to numerous starred chefs, and greeted with the Luxury Lifestyle Award in 2023, this estate is distinguished by its unique viticulture, combining trees and vines in the plots. On nearly 90 hectares, the estate combines trees and vines, through planting or regeneration, making it possible to do without any form of inputs or irrigation.

Between history, biodiversity, and natural excellence, come and discover a haven of peace dedicated to nature and wine lovers.

About the host

Massamier La Mignarde, is a wine estate established for almost 2000 years in Pépieux in Aude. Having experienced several major periods of development, the buildings used today are those based on plans from the 16th century, the last of which were finalized at the beginning of the 20th century. In its heyday, the estate was sized to meet the production requirements of around 7,000 hl per year, i.e. a vine surface of almost 150ha.
Today the estate continues to produce on a large surface area with 90ha planted with vines, 80 of which are harvested each year, the remaining 10ha are made up of plots of young plants.
Wine production allows us to present a wide range of wines in four colors with the main grape varieties being Grenache (white; gray; black), Sauvignon Blanc, Roussanne, Cinsault, Syrah and Carignan.

We visited the estate, vineyard, and winery The Castle Massamier Mignarde. Its owner, Frantz, showed us his organically farmed vineyard and gave us a tasting of six of the different wines he produces. We appreciate his kindness and effort.

Had a fantastic experience at this winery. Our guide took us to the oldest part of the vineyard and explained their techniques to make it more self sustaining. He was very personable and made our visit extreme enjoyable. Highly recommend a visit !
