This visit begins with a visit to the forest's vineyard while listening to a brief summary of 300 years of history. Through the Cellar and Barrel Room you will discover the steps necessary to reach high quality wines.
It's time for the 3 Reservas tasting, in addition to tasting 3 of our wines, you can also enjoy the landscape from the Palace's balcony*. The tasting is accompanied by regional products such as cheese, sausages, olive oil, caralhota (typical bread from Almeirim) and dried fruits.

*The test location is subject to climate change, if it is impossible to take place outside, it will take place in the Barrels Room.

About the host

Tradition combined with modernity. Quinta da Alorna has almost 300 years of history and has been in the Lopo de Carvalho family for five generations.

Quinta da Alorna was born in 1723 and this year celebrates its 300 years of history. It is located 90 km from Lisbon, close to the city of Santarém, next to the banks of the Tagus River. It owns a majestic three-hundred-year-old Palace, which has been completely restored. Its entrance is marked by a magnificent garden and an imposing and rare tree in the world, also centuries-old and known as “Beautiful Shadow”. Quinta da Alorna stands out not only for the quality of its wines but also for its natural spaces. With a total area of 2,600 hectares, Quinta da Alorna has been diversifying its business areas, in areas such as Agriculture and Forestry, with the strategic pillars of its operation being sustainability, social responsibility and nature conservation.
