The Douro Museum is a territorial museum whose mission is to represent the natural and cultural heritage of the Douro Demarcated Region, consecrated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the category of Cultural, Evolutionary and Living Landscape.
Combining tradition and modernity, it is a collective space of memory and identity of the wine region, in constant dialogue with the present, and simultaneously, as an instrument of valorization of the activities associated with winemaking, cultural tourism and wine tourism.
In this Museum you can visit the permanent exhibition "Douro: Matter and Spirit" with a visit to the technical areas of Conservation and Restoration, ending at the Armanda Passos Space. You can also visit temporary and medium-term exhibitions and the Museum Shop.
The offer includes a glass of Port Wine, accompanied by dried fruits at the end of the visit.

As determined by the law of its creation, the headquarters building of the Douro Museum is located in the city of Peso da Régua, the result of the rehabilitation work on the emblematic building of the former “Companhia Geral da Agricultura das Vinhas do Alto Douro”, inaugurated on the 20th. December 2008.
