Immerse yourself in an unforgettable sensory experience at the Fonseca Port Wine Cellars.

Start your experience at 7 pm, with a guided tour of the Cellars and tasting session. Here, you will learn about Fonseca's 200-year history, and learn about the Port Wine production process, from its origins in the Douro Valley to its aging in the cellars. This visit will end with a special tasting of Siroco, an iconic dry white port wine from Fonseca.

The activity is followed by a special and intimate dinner, between barrels and vats, where the mythical Fonseca Port wines age. Dinner includes three traditional Portuguese dishes, prepared by some of the most talented chefs in Porto, and is accompanied by the sound of one of the greatest symbols of Portuguese culture - Fado.

About the host

The Fonseca Experience, tasting room and shop is located in the heart of historic Vila Nova de Gaia, across the Douro River from the city of Porto.

Located in cellars with hundreds of years of history, the Fonseca experience allows guests to learn about the uniqueness of the Douro Valley, the significant role Fonseca has played in sustainable viticulture, and how Port wine is made including a chance to test your ability to identify Port wine aromas. Guests will further learn about the history of the company, and its world famous wines.

With spectacular views of the city of Porto and the famous Dom Luis I bridge, guests will further learn about Fonseca´s role in producing some of the world´s finest wines, Fonseca Vintage Ports. Guests will also learn about the versatility of Port wine for food pairings, and be able to leave their own suggestions for others to appreciate.
