Our picnic basket is designed as a gourmet and authentic experience to be enjoyed at your leisure in our private vineyard.

Each basket includes fresh salads presented in elegant glass jars, a platter of local charcuterie and cheeses to share, and a homemade dessert or seasonal fruit salad.

You will also find fresh bread, bottled water, and a bottle of wine from the estate for four people.

A simple, refined, and generous picnic showcasing the best of our local produce.

About the host

The Château des Bachelards vineyard was created by the Benedictine monks of Cluny around the year 1100. Doubly certified organic FR-BIO-15 and biodynamic Demeter, the wines are part of this line. We are the only ones in the appellation and we will remain the pioneers of biodynamics in Fleurie, Moulin-à-Vent and Saint-Amour. The soils have been chemical-free since 2007 and this changes the style of the wines. Standardized by yeasted wines on weed-free soils, rare are the professionals who blindly recognize our appellations. The wines of Château des Bachelards are characterized by the combination of the elegance of Burgundy and the delicacy of the Rhône Valley. Our soils are alive and so are the wines.

The estate does not practice carbonic or semi-carbonic maceration or thermovinification. It uses no artificial yeast. The wines have their own identity and only look like themselves, they belong to the place.
